hiking in Woodbush Forest

Magoebaskloof is one of those places that most South Africans know about but is often overlooked as folks head to the game reserves to be immersed in nature. But once you are here, especially Woodbush Forest at Moruti, taking in this natural oasis with big sky forest and mountain views, you’ll probably find yourself mesmerized and wondering why you don’t come more often—to relax, ride your bike (or your horse), or hike the trails with a view of as many as eight nearby peaks on a clear day, Debongeni Waterfalls and Woodbush Forest long list of sacred and rare bird species. (Pro tip: It’s a perfect spot to introduce hiking to your littlest family members.) We love our forest school and educational centre and the adventures it offers, and we especially love getting outside to enjoy it ourselves as we cannot get enough of this hidden gem of Limpopo. Come join us at Moruti on our rustic but comfortable residential camp site less than 1 h 35 min (132,0 km) via R71 from Kruger National Park and many other amazing tourism places.

Or you can take the trip when the landscape get painted in red, yellow, and orange during late summer and autumn. At this time, you can enjoy the scenic surroundings practically undisturbed.
